I am done with school and I am out shopping & Celebrating!

Hello Ladies!

Happy Oscar Day!! :) I can finally say I am done with school for good. Well, not for good, but till I start my Masters' Program. So, I am back to blogging and I can't wait to check out what I have missed all these weeks!! But before I do that, I would like to post some pictures of few items that I saw at Sephora yesterday. I am thinking about getting these makeup items; however, I would like to hear your opinion about them first. If you guys have tried them, please share your opinion! I would love to hear them. :D

Item 1:

                                          Orgasm Iluminator by NARS.

Why I want this?

I like the "glowy look" and this product will help me to achieve that or I can simply use it to highlight my cheekbones.

I don't think it is available online anymore, so I have to buy it from the store. The one that is available online is part of the "Forever Yours Eye, Lip & Illuminator Set".

Item 2:

Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder by Guerlain

Why I want this?

It's a highlighter and a bronzer in one! It is not in a liquid form, so it will be easier to carry around. Just take a brush, dip, and sweep it across your face!

Item 3:

De SLick Oil-Control Makeup Setting Spray by Urban Decay

Why I want this?

I have an oily skin, and my makeup normally goes away in 2 hours or so. Unless I have a good primer, a good foundation, or base on, what ever I put on will melt, FAST! I think having a great makeup setting spray is a must.

                                                              Item4:

Lip Glaze by Stila in Berry (middle)

Why I want this?

I love, love, love this Berry color! The color is pearly mauve, and I think it is so pretty. Besides, it really goes with my tanned skin. FYI, I am NC 42 in MAC, so if you guys have a natural tanned skin, I'd suggest you get this color. The mauve color is not that intense, so it's wearable. :)

Item 5:

Long Wear Lip Liner by Stila in Aspring (far left)

Why I want this?

This goes with everything! I love the natural lip look, so I am thinking of getting this color. This Aspiring is basically a neutral beige color similar to Spice by MAC. I had a Spice before, so I want to try a new brand this time.

Item 6:
Velvet Eyeshadow by Benefit Cosmetics
From Second Left: Dandy Brandy (Copper) and Where's the Smoke (Pewter)

Why I want this?

I love these copper and pewter colors, and I think they made a great combo for smokey eye look. Also, I found that a copper color will make brown eyes "pop". When ever I do a copper liner, my eyes will sparkle, so hey, this color is a must have for me.

So, what do you guys think? Should I add more stuff in my Sephora basket? Let me know! Happy Sunday!!

P.S - I still need to finish my 30 days challenge. I know I've failed, but I need to do it!  :)

Update On My Hair! Brazilian Blowout anyone?

Well, the above picture says it all. The root is growing! *GASP*. And it’s not a pretty sight! The rest of my hair is pinned straight, but the root is wavy and frizzy.  It looks weird. :-/  It has been at least ten months since I had a hair treatment, and I guess it’s about time for me to do the Japanese Straightening again. I can’t tolerate the unruly and frizzy hair, and also, I just want to spend up to 5 minutes on my hair every morning, if possible. During the first few months after the treatment, I can simply washed and blow-dried my hair, but now I have to flat iron the root a bit so I don’t walk out from home looking odd. For those who don’t know what the Japanese Straightening treatment is, please check out my previous posts.:) I did a lot of posts about my hair. It is similar to Brazilian Blowout, but less harmful. I personally know a lot of women who have had their hair straightened using the Japanese methods, either with Yuko system, O2, iStraight or PaiStraight. The result is the same - silky straight up to a year except the root, of course.  I would like to also point out that even though you have the Hair Rebonding done at a Korean salon, it would still be a Japanese method because that's what they use. I have to say this because there were some women that thought if they were to have it done at the Korean salons, they would probably end up getting a Korean Rebonding Perm, which is not true. I have called and asked many Korean salons, and they told me that those systems were made in Japan. They were made available to public for the past 10 years. I had my first Japanese Rebonding in 2001 and I had to say my hair was perfect!

Anyway, back to Brazilian Blowout, I read somewhere on the net that California's attorney general's office has filed a lawsuit against the Brazilian Blowout hair straightening solution claiming it contains high levels of formaldehyde -- a hazardous gas and known carcinogen banned by California's Safe Cosmetics Act. I don't know the status of the case right now, but I did read that that the Brazilian Blowout is banned in Canada. Oh well, I guess there’s always a price to pay if we want to look good.

On a positive note, I managed to tame the unruly part and did a fishtail braid! Here is the result on my first trial!

and here is the whole look! Well, sorry for the "grainy look", I was actually playing with my new Verizon iPhone app. :) I am loving the iPhone!

Well, that's all for now! Happy Tuesday everyone!! I am now back on my study desk - got a final exam this Thursday, so wish me luck!

Organization: How Do You Keep Your Favorite Lip Products?

Hi Everyone,

I am sure you guys have your own method in keeping your favorite lip products in one place so it will be easier to reach everyday. I have my own way in keeping my must have "lippies" in one place. I have a train-case, but that kind of organization doesn't work for me. I just dislike how I have to open the case everyday, pick the product, put the product back inside, close the train-case, and put it away. Too many steps for someone who is on the go, every single day. Also, I can't even tell what's inside that case unless I open it up and look through all those products. It makes me nervous. So, my train-case is strictly for cosmetic items that I don't use much, and stuff that I will only use during the weekend.

Well because of those reasons, I had to find a way to make my life easier. I thought about a holder where I could just put everything in. It is more logical for me where I don't have to go through everything just to find that one lipstick I want to wear, you know what I mean?
I knew I wanted something cute, or else I wouldn't want to use it. :) So I looked around the house and saw this pretty little cup sitting inside the kitchen cabinet. I knew it was sitting there for quite sometimes. Well, I bought this cute Minnie Mouse mug at the Disney Store thinking I could use it as a coffee cup but it did not happen. It is way too heavy, and way too cute for that. Now that I need a cute holder, I simply turn this red polka dot mug into one! :) Awesome!

So here it is!!

Up Close:
There are MACs, NARS (yep, that's the famous ORGASM), and NYX. Simply what I use everyday.

How do you guys keep your lipstick organized? Please share!

30 Day Challenge : My Favorite Pair Of Shoes, Fashion Style I Like, Bags I Want To Have!

I've been slacking due to my final exam;however, today I just need to do this!

Day 09 — Favorite Pair of Shoes:

Right now, I am loving these Banana Republic booties! You know why? Because they are comfortable, and cute! The retail price was $126 without tax. But get this, I got them from Banana Republic Beverly Hills store and they were on sale for only $10!!!! From $126, they went down to $109, then became $10. This was the only pair left and I had to have them! I bet they wanted to bring new items so they wanted to sell everything. I got lucky! So yeah, they are my favorite right now. :) My other shoes can wait ;)

Banana Republic Shoes

Day 10 — Current Fashion/Style I Like:

I pretty much care about what I wear when I am not at work. I am a laid back kind of person, but I am very particular about the dress I wear or even jeans. I like only True Religions jeans. I think the Joey design is genius, especially the twisted inseam. I can't wear any other brand once I bought TR Joey in 2005. To be honest, a brand doesn't really matter,  as long as they look good on you! So far, nothing else fit me except the Joey. :) Nothing feels better than slipping into a perfect fitting pair of jeans. Am I right? :) Well, if I weren't wearing any denim pants, I'd normally be wearing a mini! :)

This is my usual style, only with heels, instead of boots:

I don't know which site this comes from. But I am pretty sure it's either Japanese or Korean fashion sites.

....and this is also my "lazy" style, if I don't feel like dressing up! Pony tail, cardigan, short and striped Ts which I have a lot!

I am currenly loving these few items that I found on Shopbop.com. I them cute, sexy and alluring. :)

Riller & Fount Kimono Wrap

Riller and Fount Fox Mini Dress

Dolce Vita Casia Dress

Well, these are the few items that I am loving right now.  They can be found at Shopbop.com. And at the moment, they are having Winter Sales, up to 70% off, and yes I am looking at the site right now. There are few items I'd love to have! :)

Day 11 — Bags I Want To Have:

This is the hardest part! I am not too picky about a brand, as long as they look pretty and not heavy when I carry it. :)

My first choice is by Alice + Olivia Sequin Hobo bag, which I find very girlish, and pretty!
Alice + Olivia Sequin Hobo Bag $495

I also would like to get this Juicy Couture Cross Body Messenger Bag. This definitely one adorable bag that I must have!

Juicy Couture Perforated Heart Chain Lock Mini Bag $148

I guess, that's all for now. Until later. I got some shopping to do and blog to visit! :)

How Do You Wear An Eyeliner?

Hello Ladies,

Happy Sunday! I finally got some break from school. I got way too much work this week and I don't think I'll get to celebrate the Valentine's Day the way I would want it. I can't escape to anywhere special since work and school have officially taken over my life!

Well, enough of that. I am actually getting ready to go somewhere, so I might as well post this image!
I am sure everyone has her own style in lining their gorgeous eyes. :) This is my style and I am using NYC Liquid Eyeliner in Pearlized Black, and Sonia Kashuk Demi Lash Set (Half Lashes). I normally "wing it" at the end to get that slight cat-eye look.

Review: NYC Liquid Eyeliner in Pearlized Black

Well, I find this one is quite different than the old packaging. Old style was horrible. It was messy and runny. This is supposed to be an improved version of the old one, which has met my expectation. The price is less than $5; I am pretty sure it is around $2.50 or $3, but I can't remember. :) The price is great and the staying power is even greater. YAY. This time, the liquid runs smooth, not runny and very black! I am very picky when it comes to eyeliner. It has nothing to do with prices and brands. Mostly about staying power, the intensity of the color and its consistency. Those 3 are what I am looking for in an eyeliner. If the product has all that, then I am good. :) NYC Liquid Eyeliner is now my go to product. You guys should try it!

Review: Sonia Kashuk Demi Lash Set with Glue

First of all, the glue that comes with the lashes can't replace my Duo Eyelash Adhesive that I have been using for the past 5 years! Yes, it does a descent job at keeping the false lash sticks to my lid/lashes, and it does keep my false lashes on for at least 4-5 hours ( I guess because I have oily lids?). But, I want the whole day to night kinda glue, and Duo is great for that.  I'd say this is my "after hour" glue since it's so tiny, and you can just throw it into your makeup bag and apply the lash after work right before you hit the bar with the girls. :)

Now the lashes are great. It might not be "natural" like Ardell / MAC lashes, but it's not too bad at all. They don't feel heavy on the lid and don't look plastic at all. I am actually quite happy with this brand. A little bit expensive that Ardell or Andrea. I paid about $5.50 at Target. Overall, I am satisfied with the product. The casing is very convenient. The best part is that you can use this lashes again and again and again since it's not made from natural hair. :)

30 Day Challenge - Day 06 — Anything Hello Kitty!

Hi Ladies,

I should have made a post about this yesterday; however, I was so busy with other things that by the time I got home, I was already super tired! Oh well. Anyway, Day 6 post is about Hello Kitty. Though I love Hello Kitty character, I really don't own anything at the moment that's worth a picture, other than what my dear BF gave me last year which I had already talked about in my special Christmas Tree post. :) Nonetheless, I am still posting some Hello Kitty stuff that I would like to get soon!

Well, that's all. I had tons of Hello Kitty products such as pencil, pen, my Sidekick phone cover, but those items are quite old now so I won't take pictures. :) Ha! Ha!

30 Day Challenge - Day 05 — My favorite thing(s) to do

Hi Ladies!

Wow, I think this 30 Day Challenge is so hard to do since I have to post every single day! Anyway, I am getting better at this. :)

So today is Day 5, and I am going to share about what I love doing during my spare times, besides chatting and talking, hanging out with friends, reading, shopping and makeup!

First off: YOGA

I am barely starting my routine and so far, I am loving it. It keeps me calm and helps me breathe better. :) So, I won't give this up anytime soon!

FITNESS

Once upon a time, I was so anal about having a rocking abs, tight arms and no jiggly skin/muscles. I achieved that, but then I let myself go since I was too busy with school that I neglected my body and health. Now I am back doing the old routines and it's very hard. Giving up sugar and carb is a no-no. I love my food; therefore, I will eat it which means I have to work harder to get back in shape. I will try not to give up. :)

DANCE

Take me to a club, and I'll thank you! I love dancing to good music. I haven't gone out much lately since I am busy finishing my last class, but if I had the chance to go, I would normally stay until 2 am. :) Dancing is a good cardio! Especially if you are in those killer heels! Good workout. ;)

BOLLYWOOD MOVIES

Aishwarya Rai in Devdas

I grew up watching Bollywood Movies, even though I am not Indian! :) I guess it was because of the cultural mix around me at that time. I love watching the beautiful love stories, songs, pretty guys and of course the gorgeous actresses! Katrina Kaif is one of my favorites! Well, Bollywood movies are so dreamy that I get lost in them...It even makes me want one those guys - so romantic!

Some Song Clips!
From: Dostana. I love John Abraham
